Visalia becomes first host to win 12/60 World Series

Mobile (Ala.) Rawdogs wins 16-18 title

James Traylor did not allow a hit in a run-shortened game as the Mobile (Ala.) Rawdogs posted two nine-run innings  Aug. 13 to beat the Portland (Ore.) Baseball Club 18-0 and win the Babe Ruth 16-18 World Series in Ephrata, Wash.

Traylor pitched all five innings for Mobile, striking out six and walking one.

Bret Underwood hit a three-run homer in the first to highlight a nine-run rally. Matthew Wojciechowski hit a grand slam that fueled a nine-run third.
